Despite the ways Castro & Hitler used their intellect, you can't deny that they were indeed brilliant people.
Castro is noted in his own biography to be intellectually gifted and from a wealthy family. You can't be stupid to have total control over an entire country for almost 50 years! With his brain power and stubborn determination he embodies the qualities [when used correctly] equal a great leader. No - everyone doesn't agree with his tactics, the things he felt were right did harm to his people, but you can't tell me YOU can hold the power of a country whether through war or fear without being overthrown
Hitler who wasn't rich or a scholar, wanted to be an artist, didn't finish school and gained an interest in politics. To go from a broke nobody to the voice a a vast group of people whom he had influenced - is brilliant. What he lacked in education he made up for with Public Speaking and the power of persuasion. Yes - his views led to a full genocide of a religion/people...but YOU can't tell me you can cause a movement as great and drastic as his. He started his own political party and made it the majority, he started a war that took over the whole world basically...
I don't condone either of these individuals actions, they brought great devastation to those who were the victims of their rule - but in hindsight you CANNOT deny their genius - even if used for diabolical reasons.
