Sometimes all an artist wants is respect from their hometown...
..Wale is the one person besides Tabi Booney who is really trying hard to rep D.C. and display its unique style of Go-Go music to the nation. So - why would the hometown radio station start throwing shot at him when he's technically trying to do THEM a favor. He wants D.C. to be musically respected, he wants to bring them home a GRAMMY and all you can do is refuse to play his songs and disrespect the man...?
I know radio stations still have a serious case of Payola fever running rampid [which is why the unfortunate listeners hear the same 20 songs everyday]. Radio is supposed to be the outlet of the people and a beacon of a city...instead we get things like this....click the link to hear the foolishness
